  Chapter 1

  Calamity

  Earth: 3000 A.D.

At present, the Earth is divided into three great, powerful lands: Atlas, Galaxus, and Cosmos. The three nations are united as truly one, and they have had their ups and downs, but in the end, the people of Earth have remained peaceful. It was only in the year 2989, in January, when all of that changed for the worse.

From above, they witnessed mysterious beings with a single large, bright red eye falling from the sky.As they crash-landed, we saw that they looked like red and blue ninja-like robots. We began to think aliens had finally arrived on Earth, but the ultimate question was, were they friend or foe?

The aliens answered the question by slaughtering thousands of us as soon as they arrived on Earth. It was evident that we were under attack from extraterrestrial beings. The Governments of Atlas, Cosmos, and Galaxus came together to stop this rapidly growing threat. They created a global military organization named the Dynasty of Spheres. The Dynasty of Spheres were armed with a device called the Calamity Morpher, which would help would help them transform into powerful, battle-armor-clad warriors who could withstand the robot aliens. For many years, men and women from all three nations joined the Dynasty of Spheres and fell in battle, as the numbers of the enemy continued to grow. But we, the courageous people of Earth, did not give up.

The Governments saw clearly that the progress made in fighting the aliens wasn’t enough. It was then that they realized they needed to create something stronger and tougher than the ordinary dynasty soldier. In the year 2990, three teams were formed: The Calamita Team, located in of Atlas; S.E.A.L, founded in Cosmos; and Assassin Enforcers, located in Galaxus. These three teams were the heroes of their nation and were the ultimate soldiers in the fight against this enormous threat. For ten long years, the Dynasty of Spheres fought against the deadly enemies, and there was no telling when this invasion would end.

It is now the month of March in the year 3000, and a grand festival is taking place in Atlas City, Atlas. The leader of this nation, King Daimus, has something planned for the people of Atlas, but what it could be, the people do not know. All they know is that on this very day, something will turn the course of events drastically. The Calamity is just underway…

  Earth: 3000 A.D

  Atlas City—Grand Atlas Coliseum

In the center of the large, beautiful region that is Atlas City, is the grand, golden Coliseum. The stands of the stadium tower over the arena, and a multitude of people are at this event. A total of 2 million people, to be exact. Many discuss with their partners what the announcement will be . However, most people have their eyes glued on a woman high up in the stands.

She wears a white leather jacket with a gold dragon on the back, a black undershirt, long white pants, combat boots, and fingerless gloves, as well as a device on her right wrist with a pink star set on it. The woman has beautiful brown eyes, long brown hair tied in a ponytail, hoop earrings, and a gold necklace. She seems to be an important person, as many people take pictures of her and greet her. People are chanting her name as if she is a savior to them: Victoria Tavian!

She walks down the steps, smiling at the people and waving, but her eyes scan the crowd as if looking for someone. It does not take her long to spot a young woman and man who seem to be a young couple. The two of them wave at Victoria, and she walks over, smiling at them.

With her gloved hand, Victoria ruffles the young man’s black hair, cut in a fade. His dark eyes narrow at her as his golden x-cross necklace sways wildly about. He stamps with his shiny, spotless black shoes out of agitation and grabs the woman’s hands, revealing a silver watch on his left wrist, trying to get them off of him, but to no avail.

Then, greeting the young woman with a kiss on the cheek, she sits down.

“Can you not do that please, Victoria?!” complains the young man, as he sways recklessly to pull away.

“Oh, come on, Luke, I know you love it when I do that! It’s so soothing, eh?” replies Victoria, grinning and disarranging his hair even more.

Her green eyes dancing, the other young woman laughs as Luke tries to fight off Victoria’s large hand, destroying the previously beautiful style of his long, spiky hair.

“Parker, you find this funny?! Help your boyfriend out here, will ya?!” Luke shouts.

“Ehh, I think I’m going to sit here and enjoy it all!” she replies, tossing her straight, long, brown hair, revealing pearl earrings. A gold ring is on her right ring finger and a gold diamond necklace glitters around her neck.

Parker and Victoria look at each other, smiling, as Victoria continues to play around with Luke.

“OK DONE!” Victoria shouts, releasing him and pushing him back. Luke is shocked, and exclaims…

“Sis, this is our first get-together in forever, now that you’ve finally got a break from the Dynasty of Spheres, and this is how you treat your younger brother?” Luke exclaims, straightening his long black sweater.

“Yeah... I just miss ya, little bro!” responds Victoria, grabbing his head and pulling it to her breasts.

Parker laughs more as Luke rolls his eyes and tries to pull away from his sister’s affectionate grip of sibling love.

With this group clearly enjoying themselves, the attention is moved to another group…

Four beautiful young ladies with light brown skin, all with very similar facial proportions, are seated in another section of the arena. In fact, they are quadruplets. Two of them look older than the others: the first young lady of the group has short, brown, spiky hair and brown eyes and is wearing a black and white striped sundress with white heels, diamond earrings, and a matching necklace. She has a beautiful figure, and most of the men seated around her are trying to flirt with her. She ignores them, looking studiously into her phone. The other older woman has long brown curly hair and brown eyes. She is wearing red heels with a short, revealing red dress that draws more masculine attention to their group. But she too focuses on her phone, ignoring them.

The third young woman, who looks younger than the other two, has short, straight hair, brown like her eyes. She is wearing a long black hoodie sweater, blue shorts, and black shoes. She too is glued to her phone like her siblings. The final young woman has long, curly brown hair. She is wearing a long black leather jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes. There is a diamond chain necklace around her neck, diamond drop earrings, and gold rings adorn all the fingers of her right-hand. She too is glued to her device, escaping the world like the rest of her sisters.

Suddenly, people begin to cheer loudly, catching the quadruplets’ attention. They look up to see a huge bald dark-skinned man, wearing a long white jacket with the sleeves ripped off to show off his muscular chest and abs, walking down the stands with a big grin on his face as he moves his head from left to right, looking for someone.

The quadruplets roll their eyes in unison.

The back of this man’s jacket bears the same dragon that is on Victoria’s jacket. He has black eyes and wears a thick chain necklace with long white pants and matching combat boots. Black tattoos flame up his arms, and he too has a wrist device with a red star.

“Saul Knight! The greatest MMA fighter of all time!” shouts one woman.

“Saul, sign my face please!” cries another.

“Saul! You’re the best!” cheers a man.

“My word, this is quite the crowd. I need to find the ladies first,” Saul chuckles inwardly, continuing to walk down the stairs, all the while shaking hands and waving. Women throw themselves at him, fighting for a chance to feel his large muscular body.

Soon he grins and stops, finding the four women. “Let’s see,” He says to himself, “Short brown spiky hair with the striped sundress is Shyla. The one in the red dress Kelsie. The hoodie sw
eater one is the lovely and shy Tori. And, last but not least, the leader of the group in the leather jacket: Tatyana mother-fucking Knight!”

“HEY, LADIES! UNCLE SAUL IS BAAAACK!!!” Saul says, a bright smile on his face, and runs down the stairs to his nieces.

“Does he have to be so fucking loud?” says Tatyana, rolling her eyes.

“Well, he is one-third of the Calamita Team, and a badass MMA fighter, T.T. Of course, he’s going to get ecstatic like this,” replies Shyla.

“Uncle Saul! Hiii!” Kelsie cheerfully shouts, leaping up and giving Saul a big hug.

Tatyana and Tori don’t like the sight of their uncle at all. Getting all the attention from not only the older siblings, but the annoying fans as well. Shyla gets up and gives Saul a kiss on the cheek and a hug before he goes to sit with his nieces at last.

“Ahh! Sorry I was late,” Saul smiles. “Had to make a few more adjustments before coming here. Tatyana! Tori! What’s up?!”

“Nothing much, Unc,” replies Tatyana, not batting an eyelash at him.

  “Same,” says Tori.

“That’s just like them. This is all they do, with an attitude stuck up their nose,” complains Shyla.

“And that’s the way I loooove it!” Saul says, pulling out a beer, cracking it open, and taking a big gulp.

“U-Uncle Saul! How’d you sneak that in here?! You can’t have food or drinks here!” says a shocked Kelsie.

“Trust me when I tell you this: no one can bypass Uncle Saul,” he replies with a grave look on his face.

  “Okay…?” Tatyana says.

“T.T! Have you been doing anything productive besides training at the gym all day?” questions Saul.

  “Uh, well…” Tatyana shrugs.

“No matter! It’s clear your goal is to become an MMA fighter just like me! But you must have a backup plan in case you get a career-ending injury,” he says.

“Please, that’s not happening ANYTIME soon,” she retorts, rolling her eyes and smirking at Saul.

“That’s my favorite niece for ya!” says Saul, smirking back.

“But I thought I was your favorite, Uncle Saul!” pouts a saddened Kelsie.

“I hate when she acts like a kid…” mutters Tori.

As the Knight family enjoy themselves, another group of three important people walk down the stairs to their seats.

Three people walk down the stairs to their seats. An older man, a woman, and their son. The older man seems to be in his mid-forties and is wearing a long, white leather jacket with the same dragon design as Victoria and Saul, a black undershirt, long white pants and matching combat boots. A device on his right wrist has a yellow star. He has short, spiky, white hair, a white goatee, and green eyes. His face clearly expresses that he is the type of person who does not want the attention Saul and Victoria got. No one crowds around this man, but the people in the stands do acknowledge him by whispering amongst themselves.

Next to this man is his wife. She has long, straight, black hair and blue eyes, and is wearing a long blue dress. As she holds his hand, she has a distant look on her face, much like that of her husband’s. Their son seems to be in his early twenties. He too has a grave look on his face. His long black hair is tied in a ponytail, with a few strands sticking out. His green eyes are framed by glasses. He is wearing only a white shirt, a platinum triangle medallion strung around his neck, long blue jeans, black shoes, a matching wristwatch on his left wrist, and a diamond earring in his right ear.

“I cannot believe it,” says one man, “it’s Daichi Matsumoto of the Calamita Team!”

“This man,” explains an enthusiastic little boy, “is the legendary swordsman! He can cut down his enemies with just one swing of his sword!”

“I heard he can transform his sword into many different ones. The guy’s an old badass,” says another man.

“I’M NOT OLD, DAMMIT!” Daichi shouts at the man.

“C’mon, dear, our seats are right here,” says his wife.

Daichi stares down the man who called him an “old badass,” and the man is chilled to the bone. He looks at Daichi as if he had just seen a ghost.

Daichi does not like to be called old. He turns and walks a few steps down before finding their row and sitting down.

“Dad, you have to control your temper!” says Daichi’s son.

“I can’t help it, Akira!” he growls. “I’m only 45. That’s not old… Is it, Aria?”

“No, dear,” Aria replies, smiling at Daichi, “We’re here now. Just sit and relax. It’s been awhile since you’ve spent time with us, as you were fighting those monsters 24/7. I’m sure you’re stressed out. Just sit down and relax.”

“Okay… Sorry for that. I won’t act like an ass again, I promise,” Daichi says.

“I doubt that,” Akira says under his breath.

“Care to share a word with me, Akira Matsumoto?” Daichi says, glaring at Akira.

The two have a staring contest for quite a moment before Akira final replies “I didn’t say a word, father,” and faces forward.

Aria can do nothing but roll her eyes at their childish actions. “You know, sometimes you guys are just too much. Akira, you haven’t seen your father in months, and the same goes for you, Daichi. This is the reaction you guys have?” says a disappointed Aria.

“Don’t worry, mom. We’re still best buds… as long as we can keep training,” replies Akira.

“I told you, Akira, not to participate in those activities too much. Being in the Atlas government comes first. You have almost fulfilled your dream. Don’t follow in my footsteps,” Daichi says.

“Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, dad,” Akira annoyingly says.

Akira pulls out his thin gold smartphone, making a 3-way call to Luke Tavian and Tatyana Knight. As he calls, two small hologram screens with Luke and Tatyana’s faces float above Akira’s phone.

“So how did the reunion go for you guys?” Akira asks.

“She keeps fucking my hair up! Stop it, Vicky, now!” Luke shouts, as he visibly fights Victoria’s hands away from his hair.

“But I can’t help it, little bro, it’s too silky and soft!” exclaims a joyful Victoria.

“Yeah… so Saul is still the same as always. Nothing much.” says Tatyana.

“OK, guys, so we’re here because King Daimus has some big news to announce. Any idea what it may be?” Akira questions.

“I hope it’s a new war tactic against the Solar bots,” says a disgruntled Tatyana. “It’s just hell, with them showing up whenever and wherever. They’re like roaches. You kill 10 and 50 more show. Just how many are there up in space?!”

“Nah, King Daimus would only announce the better things in life. New cars and new devices to make everyday life better!” says Luke.

“And what the hell could that be?” Tatyana says, rolling her eyes.

“Well… New luxurious cars with just the best technology you can think of! Ooh! How about the half car, half mini jet!” enthuses Luke.

“That’s a dumbass idea,” Tatyana says dismissively.

“Piss off, T.T.!” says Luke with an annoyed look on his face.

“This is an announcement for the future of Atlas, not what toys we’re giving to Luke,” she retorts.

“But it’s not just about me, though,” he replies.

“Luke, I’ve known you for a very long time. I know you wish it’s something you can show off.”

“I…guess so, but that’s not entirely accurate! I do hope it’s something that people can afford, ya know?” he shrugs.

“I don’t think people here have the money for the things you want,” Tatyana replies.

“Well,” Akira chimes in, “I hear we may be having assistant robots.”

“Wait. Assistant robots?” Luke asks, curious.

“Like, ‘they’ll help you do anything, so you can chill in the house all day’ assistant robots?” Tatyana asks.

“It’s just a rumor I heard, but I believe it’s one of the big
announcements. I’ve been hearing they are pushing robots and humans to work together,” says Akira.

“How ironic, since we are fighting against robots from another world.” says Luke.

“I know, that’s right,” agrees Tatyana.

“So, heard any more rumors, Akira?” questions Luke.

“Eh, I’m sure King Daimus will also speak on issues regarding this war that’s been going on for like ten years now,” replies Akira.

“It’d better be a spaceship to go hunt and shoot their mothership down. It’s getting sickening already.” says Tatyana.

“Yup. I hope it’s big news that can turn this war around for the better…” Luke says, a grave expression on his face.

  [Grand Atlas Coliseum/ Palace Entryway]

The event is nearly underway. Down a tunnel of elaborate arches walk a crowd of men and women dressed all in black, hats covering their eyes. It is plain that each of them has a gun strapped to their waist. They stand at attention, facing a man dressed in an all-white military uniform.

“Alright, listen up everyone,” he shouts. “This is a big event. All of you are to make sure that this whole place is kept in order and that EVERYONE is safe. You mustn’t use your pistol unless your life is literally on the line!”

“Now. You, you, and you. Come up front,” the man says, pointing at three members of the team.

A man of average size, a larger muscular man, and a woman walk forward.

“I want you three to be the ones to guard King Daimus for the whole event. King Daimus is the leader of Atlas, so I expect you three to be on your A-game here. Understood?” shouts the man.

“Yes, sir!” the guards nod in agreement.

“Good. To your right at the end of the hall is a gold elevator. Enter there and head to floor 100. Upon reaching the 100th floor, you go down the lobby, take a right. The third door on your right is King Daimus’s office. That is where you’ll be stationed. His office also has a balcony, from which he will address the people. You will be stationed behind him as this happens. That’s all. Head to your post.”
